Bathroom renovation in Alanya
A bathroom rebuilt from the bare walls up — plumbing and drainage, waterproofing, tiling, ventilation and fittings.
From bare walls to a working bathroom
A full bathroom renovation is not a change of tiles. It means taking out what is there and rebuilding what sits behind it.
Below is what the job consists of. If you are also redoing the kitchen, our combined bathroom and kitchen service brings both rooms into one schedule.
What a bathroom renovation includes
- Strip-out of old tiles and fittings, and waste removal
- New water and drainage pipework where the old is worn
- Waterproofing of the floor and wet walls before tiling
- Wall and floor tiling, with falls towards the drain
- Ventilation: an extractor fan or other air extraction
- WC, washbasin, shower or bath and taps
- Vanity unit and storage cabinets
- Electrics and lighting
The vanity unit is built for your room
Standard ranges fit bathroom furniture worst: awkward alcoves, sloping ceilings, a basin beside a pipe.
Vanity units and storage cabinets come from our own workshop in Alanya, cut to the measurements we take at the survey. The carcasses are moisture-resistant MDF.

Why Alanya is hard on bathrooms
A bathroom here is damp for much of the year, and the damp carries salt.
Sea air brings salt and moisture indoors, and in summer warm air and closed windows keep the humidity in the room longer. Waterproofing, ventilation and the choice of surfaces decide how long the room lasts.
Waterproofing goes onto the floor and wet walls before any tile is laid, and is carried into the corners and around the drain, where leaks usually begin. Tiles hide a membrane; they do not replace one.
Ventilation is the part people forget. Without extraction, steam settles on the ceiling and in the grout lines and mould follows, however good the tiling.
We use moisture-resistant MDF for the furniture, extra-protected grouting and polymer-modified tile adhesives that cope with summer temperature swings, in any of the districts we cover.
Shower, walk-in shower or bath
The choice mostly comes down to space and to how the room is used.
A shower tray is the simplest to install and keep watertight. A walk-in shower with a tiled floor level with the room feels more open but depends on the falls: the surface must slope gently towards the drain so water leaves instead of pooling, formed before the waterproofing goes on.
A point drain or a linear drain along a wall both work, provided the waste pipe reaches the stack with enough fall.
Toughened safety glass is the standard choice, and a fixed panel keeps spray in the shower zone with fewer seals and gaps than a hinged door. A bath is worth keeping where the household really uses it.
Making a small bathroom work
In a small bathroom, centimetres matter more than finishes.
A walk-in shower in place of a bath often frees room for a washing machine or a tall storage unit. A wall-hung WC with a concealed cistern and a shallow basin leave more floor visible, so the room reads larger. A sliding or outward-opening door gives back the space an inward-opening one takes.
Because our cabinets are built to measure, storage can go into an alcove or above the door.
How the work runs
We measure the room and inspect the existing plumbing and drainage, free of charge.
You receive a written fixed price with the materials listed before any work starts.
We agree the dates and sign the work schedule.
Our in-house team does the strip-out, plumbing, waterproofing, tiling and fitting in order.
We go through every detail with you and hand the bathroom over clean.
Who stands behind the work
One team means one point of contact.
We do the strip-out, plumbing, waterproofing, tiling and furniture ourselves rather than passing them to subcontractors, so any warranty question comes straight to us. Our workmanship is guaranteed against water leaks, swelling and mechanical failures.
Common questions
Is retiling enough, or should I renovate the whole bathroom?
If the pipes, drainage or waterproofing are in doubt, new tiles only hide the problem. At the survey we look behind the walls and tell you in writing what the room needs.
Can I keep the bath or shower where it is?
Usually yes, which keeps the pipework to a minimum. Moving the WC or shower changes the pipe runs and will appear in the written quote.
Is a walk-in shower with a level floor safe?
Yes, when built correctly: the floor falls to the drain, waterproofing sits under the tiles and the tiles can be slip-resistant.
Does a bathroom need a window for ventilation?
No. A room without a window can use an extractor fan that vents outside; we plan it at the survey.
Do you also do the plumbing and electrics?
Yes. Our in-house team does both, so the order of work and the dates stay with us.
