Salt, Humidity and Summer Heat
Alanya’s high humidity and sea salt are the most important factors directly affecting the lifespan of flooring.
Cheap, low-density laminate flooring absorbs moisture from the air, causing it to swell and warp in a short time. For this reason, we recommend moisture-resistant laminate series or LVT (luxury vinyl tiles) suitable for Alanya conditions.
Intense summer sunlight and temperature fluctuations cause significant thermal expansion in flooring materials. When laying ceramic or porcelain in sun-drenched living rooms, we exclusively use highly flexible polymer-modified adhesives. By leaving the correct expansion gaps, the floor can move smoothly during seasonal transitions.

Common questions
Can you lay a new floor over the old one?
Sometimes, but we rarely recommend it. It raises the floor height at doors and it hides whatever is wrong underneath. We will tell you at the survey what your slab actually needs.
Which is better in Alanya, tile or laminate?
Tile and porcelain handle heat, humidity and cleaning better. Laminate is warmer underfoot and quicker to lay. We will talk through both options during the survey.
Do you move the furniture?
Yes, that is part of the job. We agree at the survey what gets moved, what gets stored and what needs to leave the apartment.
Can we stay in the apartment during the process?
If only a single room is being done, you can stay. However, if the entire apartment’s flooring is changing, we recommend leaving for a few days due to dust and noise.
How long does a floor replacement take?
It depends on the square meterage and the condition of the subfloor (whether levelling is needed). We give you the exact number of days in writing after the survey.
What brand of laminate do you use?
We only use guaranteed, proven brands with high moisture resistance and AC4/AC5 wear classes. We offer the best option based on your budget.
